Printed circuit boards are one of the most important parts of electronic products. From electronic watches to electronic products for detecting the ocean and the universe, as long as there are electronic components, printed circuit boards are used for electrical interconnection between them.

PCB is the abbreviation of Printed Circuit Board. Also known as printed wiring board, because it is made by electronic printing, it is called "printed" circuit board. The printed circuit board is a substrate for assembling electronic parts. It is a printed board that connects points and prints components on a common base material according to a predetermined design. The main function of this product is to connect various electronic components to a predetermined circuit, and play the role of relay transmission. It is the key electronic interconnection of electronic products, and is known as the "mother of electronic products". PCB is used as a substrate and key interconnection for electronic parts, and any electronic equipment or product needs to be equipped.

Printed Circuit Board

Printed circuit boards are structural elements formed by insulating materials supplemented by conductor wiring. When the final product is made, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, passive components (such as resistors, capacitors, connectors, etc.) and various other electronic parts will be mounted on it. Through the wire connection, the electronic signal connection and the application function can be formed. Therefore, the printed circuit board is a platform that provides component connection and is used to undertake the basis of connecting parts.

PCB features six aspects: high density, high reliability, designability, manufacturability, assemblability and maintainability.

Generally speaking, the more complex the functions of electronic products, the longer the loop distance and the more the number of contact feet, the more layers are required for PCB, such as high-end consumer electronics, information and communication products. The soft plate is mainly used in products that need to be wound: such as notebook computers, cameras, automobile instruments and so on. According to the number of layers, PCB can be divided into single panel (SSB), double panel (DSB) and multi-layer panel (MLB). According to the degree of softness, it can be divided into rigid printed circuit board (RPC) and flexible printed circuit board (FPC). In the industrial research, the PCB industry is generally subdivided into six major subdivisions, including single panel, double panel, conventional multilayer board, flexible board, HDI(high density sintering) board and packaging substrate, according to the basic classification of PCB products mentioned above.
