Conveyor belts are widely used in company production. Conveyor belts can be transported continuously, with high efficiency and large inclination. The conveyor belts are safe to operate, easy to use, easy to maintain, low freight, and can shorten transportation distances, reduce engineering costs, and save manpower and material resources. Below are some common problems and solutions for conveyor belts.

Common problem 1: Conveyor belt deviation

Failure analysis and solutions: 1) The frame and the roller are not adjusted straight. Solution: Adjust the roller or frame to keep it straight; 2) The axis of the roller is not perpendicular to the centerline of the conveyor belt. Solution: Use the roller to adjust the position to correct the deviation of the conveyor belt; 3) The conveyor belt joint is not perpendicular to the center line, and the conveyor belt edge is S-shaped. Solution: Re-make the joint of the conveyor belt to ensure that the joint is perpendicular to the center of the conveyor belt; 4) The loading point is not in the center of the conveyor belt (partial load). Solution: Adjust the position of the drop point.

Common problem 2: conveyor belt aging and tearing

Failure analysis and solutions: 1) The conveyor belt is laid too short and the number of deflection exceeds the limit, leading to premature aging. Solution: Try to avoid short-distance laying and use. 2) Conveyor belt and fixed hard objects cannot be placed together to avoid tearing. Solution: Avoid the conveyor belt hanging on the fixed components, or the metal structure parts falling into the conveyor belt; 3) When the conveyor belt runs off and rubs against the frame for a long time, it will cause the conveyor belt to be rough or cracked. Solution: Dilong Industrial Belt recommends that the conveyor belt be adjusted in time after it has deviated, to avoid that the conveyor belt will fall off the idler and cause downtime when the deviation is serious; 4) poor storage and excessive tension. Solution: Store according to conveyor belt storage requirements.

Common problem 3: conveyor belt broken

The strength of the conveyor belt deteriorates after being used for a long time; or because of the poor environment, the conveyor belt becomes hard and brittle when encountering water and low temperature environment; if the joint quality is not good, the local cracks are not repaired in time, which will greatly increase The probability of the conveyor belt breaking. Solution: Choose high-quality materials with stable mechanical and physical properties to make the belt core; when the conveyor belt is found to be damaged or aging, replace it in time. It is also necessary to observe the joints frequently, and deal with the problems in time.

Common problem 4: Conveyor belt slipping

Failure analysis and solutions: 1) The belt load is too large, resulting in insufficient tension. Solution: Re-adjust the tension or reduce the transportation volume. 2) After the driving roller and the conveyor belt are sprayed with water, the friction coefficient between the two will decrease, and the transportation will be inclined downward. Solution: Avoid long-term soaking of the conveyor belt in water and increase the tension; frequent observation of the joints from time to time, and promptly deal with problems found.
