Rail bolts in railway fittings are used in railway construction to ensure that they are applied to a predetermined track. In most cases, when a new rail system is made of concrete for the track, instead of they are traditionally fixed timber. In order to ensure the track of the concrete, the track has to be fixed into the concrete, and the rails of the track are held in place by using a mounting bracket. The front rail can be applied to the mounting bracket and the mounting bracket is secured to the concrete. As a Railway Fastening System Manufacturer, ZHONGBO will give you a detailed introduction to the application of rail bolts.

Since the track system must withstand any given weight at any given time, the stronger the anchoring system, the better, to prevent any possible transfer. Therefore, the mounting brackets, as well as the rail bolts, are made of hardened steel. The steel is also treated to prevent it from becoming rusting. These installed systems are mounted directly using rail bolts, whether it is concrete, wood, or any other material.

The Railway Bolt itself is made up of more than just a bolt. The Railway Bolts usually consists of three parts of fasteners, including a threaded bolt, lug or nut and lock washer. Rail bolt washers prevent displacement or looseness causing severe vibrations through the train.

A nut placed on the mounting bracket with the bolt threaded onto the washer and the washer seated on the lug. The mounting bracket and lug have opposing teeth that prevent any slippage during the fastening process when engaged with each other. The rear washer is applied to the lug, and the Railway Bolts is centered on the lug and is driven through the anchor that taps the rail of the mounting bracket. Once the locking washer is placed in engagement with the bolt, the bolt will remain slippery or twisted loose.
