CONSTRUCTION GRADE HPMC - Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose

Construction grade HPMC-hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is a kind of cellulose ether widely used in various kinds of dry mix mortar products.

Construction grade HPMC-hydroxypropyl methylcellulose have various functions in dry mix mortar products formulations. Increase the water retention, sag-resistence and increase the workability etc. 

Recommended applications of construction grade HPMC: 

1. Tile adhesive:

   Choose right construction grade HPMC could adjust the open time of tile adhesive. HPMC could form thin film one the surface of tile adheisve to reduce moisture evaporation. help tile adhesive increase the open time.  

   Choose right construction grade HPMC could increase the tensile strenght of tile adhesive. HPMC have good property of water retention. it make sure keep enough water for cement hydration. 

   HPMC could improve the workability of tile adhesive. Easiry to scrape on the wall.

   Meanwhile, construction HPMC can also increase the bonding strength of wet mortar, increase the anti-slip property. 

2. Wall putty/Plaster

   Choose right construction grade HPMC can provide a good viscosity of the wet mortar, prevent wall putty sagging.

   The good filming property of construction grade hpmc could reduce the water absorption of base wall. Reduce the risk of craking.

   Provide good water retention,make sure the cement strength,meanwihle, make sure all the other additives in the formulation could reach the best performance. 

3. Joint filler

   Choose right construction grade HPMC can make sure the cement and other additives fuly hydrated which can increase the working time and ruduce the risk of cracking.

4. EIFS surface mortar/adhesive mortar

   Bigger scrape aires: the good film perperty and the suitable viscosity, choose right grade construction grade hpmc make the wet mortar more smooth and esy to scrape on the surface, same weight of wet mortar can cover bigger area.

   Antipcraking:Choose the right construction grade hpmc, the excellent preperty can make sure all other additives in mortar reach the best performance, reduce the crack on surface.
