Who would have thought that holding two pieces of material together would become so complicated? There are countless types of clamps, and it can become difficult to figure out which one is right for your job. There are clamps for metalworking, woodworking, lifting and special occasions.

Rules for clamping:

Always place scrap wood between the clamp and the wooden part to avoid damaging the part.

Clamp load should be applied perpendicular to the part to prevent slipping.

Always use two or more clamps to prevent rotation.

Do not overtighten clamps. Over-tightening may cause damage to the clamp.

Spring Clamps

Spring clamps are fast and very affordable. However, they have very little clamp load and very limited opening capacity. Therefore, they are suitable for holding down tarpaulins or preventing one unloaded shaft from moving.

Ideal for:

-Affordable

-Woodworking

-Speed

C-Clamp (Aka G-Clamps)

The popular C-clamp is the standard clip of choice for many occasions. Its simplicity and usability are unmatched. Each clamp series starts with a few sizes of C-clamps. Due to the popularity of the C-clamp, various designs are available for different applications.

Ideal for:

-Woodworking

-Metalworking

-Low cost

F-Clamps (aka Bar Clamps)

The f-clamp is designed for a wide opening capacity. f-clamps have a slide bar that allows easy adjustment of the opening capacity to meet a wide range of applications. This makes the f-clamp another very popular clamp that is used when the opening capacity of the C-clamp is too small.

Ideal for:

-Woodworking

-Welding

-Metalworking

-Large opening capacity

Smaller spring clamps can be used for jewelry making or craft projects, while large bench clamps can hold larger items, such as doors or frames, securely on the workbench. Wood clamps have large, comfortable grips and automatically adjust to different widths.

Clamps are used to hold or clamp any object. Clamps are an important part of every DIY toolbox. They are useful for holding things together when you are gluing, cutting or sawing wood. Many people also use clamps to securely hold what they are working on to their workbench. Sinotools clamps come in a variety of sizes and weights and are available in fixed and adjustable forms.
