Quartz glass in optical components can be divided into three grades: JGS1, JGS2, and JGS3 according to the spectrum application range:

JGS1 Far Ultraviolet Optical Quartz Glass (185nm-2500 nm)

Transparent in the ultraviolet and visible spectrum;

No absorption band in the 185-250nm band;

Strong absorption band in the 2600-2800nm band; non-luminous, stable light radiation.

JGS2 Ultraviolet Optical Quartz Glass (220nm-2500 nm)

Transparent in the ultraviolet and visible spectrum;

No absorption band in the range of 200-250nm;

Strong absorption band in the range of 2600-2800nm;

Non-luminous, stable light radiation

JGS3 infrared optical quartz glass (260nm- 3500 nm)

It is transparent in the visible and infrared spectrum;

There is no obvious absorption band in the 2600-2800nm band. Compared with ordinary silicate glass, transparent quartz glass has excellent transmission performance over the entire wavelength head. In the infrared region, the spectral transmittance is larger than that of ordinary glass; In the visible region, the transmittance of quartz glass is also relatively high. In the ultraviolet spectral region, especially in the short-wave ultraviolet region, the spectral transmission is much better than other glasses.
