The ball is decorated with Yunnan heavy-color painting that created in early 1980s by a group of painters in Yunnan, China. Except from using Chinese line modeling, Yunnan heavy-color painting also makes use of bold and rich colors of modern western painting. The painting mainly reflects natural beauty, ethnic customs, history and culture in Yunnan. In this design, our artist describes a Yunnan couple in local costume and playing folk instrument.

Inside painting is a century-old art form that treasured by collectors from all over the world. Each Christmas ornament is painstakingly hand-painted by an artist from the inside of the glass container. Our artist uses a tiny L-shaped brush, pass through a small opening on the top, and paint on the inner surface of each ball.
