With the development of science and technology and the continuous demand of the market, a cylindrical steel quality tool-pin gauge has been widely used.

But so far, our country has not formulated the calibration specification or verification procedure of the pin gauge to standardize the testing market. This article mainly introduces several methods of applying the pin gauge and the problems that should be paid attention to when detecting the diameter of the needle gauge.

1 pin gauge introduction

No matter which pin gauge is produced, from the perspective of appearance, there are shank type and shank type; from the size combination, there are special size combinations, and there are complete series combinations with certain size intervals. The common size intervals are 0.0001mm, 0.001mm, 0.002 ram, 0.005ram, 0.010mm, 0.020ram, etc. The minimum nominal size of the pin gauge is 0.05ram.

2 pin gauge use

2.1 It is convenient, quick and accurate to detect the diameter of a hole. Use a pin gauge set to test the size of the product hole. It is through the diameter of the pin gauge when it is inserted into the product hole, so as to know the diameter of the hole, so as to judge whether the product is qualified or not. The most widely used in the enterprise.

2.2 Detect the vertical distance from the center of a hole to a certain side as shown in Figure 1. According to the hole diameter, select a pin gauge of the corresponding size and insert it into the hole, and then measure H and H2 with a height vernier caliper or altimeter, then h1=H1-d /2, h2=H2-/2 (in the formula, d is the diameter of the needle gauge). In this way, it is not necessary to measure on the Wan Gong display or the three coordinates.

3.1 Selection of detection location

Ideally, the detection position of the pin gauge should be the entire working length of the pin gauge. If so, our workload is very large, so in the process of detecting the diameter of the needle gauge, the following points should be paid attention to when selecting the detection position:

1) For shankless pin gauges, the inspection positions should be carried out at least on the two ends and the middle three sections of the needle gauge, and each section should be inspected in at least two radial directions that are perpendicular to each other.

2) For the pin gauge with handle, the detection position should be carried out at least on three sections of the head, middle and tail of the pin gauge, and each section should be detected at least in two radial directions that are perpendicular to each other.

Because we often use a RTP pin gauge to detect the diameter of a hole, no matter the pin gauge without a handle or with a handle, the size of the head will directly affect the detection result, so the diameter of the head of the pin gauge must be detected when testing.

3.2 The detection method and the detection of the pin gauge using the standard instrument, the Bei 0 method can be used for direct measurement on a high-precision length measuring instrument, or a comparative measurement on a contact interferometer, or a vertical optical meter or horizontal measurement. direct or comparative measurements.
