40 Micron Stainless Steel 316 Wire Mesh for Air Filtration

Micron stainless steel wire mesh is a fine-aperture filtration medium manufactured with precision wire and uniform openings. It is commonly used for air filtration and is available as woven micron wire mesh and sintered micron wire mesh.

  • Materials: stainless steel grades 201, 202, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 321, 430

General Weaving Patterns of Stainless Steel Wire Mesh and Wire Cloth

  • Plain Weave: uses a simple over-and-under wire structure. It is commonly produced in mesh counts from 1 to 400 mesh, with wire diameters ranging from 0.03 mm to 2.0 mm.

  • Twill Weave: features an over-two and under-two wire pattern. It supports mesh counts from 200 to 635 mesh and allows the use of thicker wire, typically 0.02 mm to 0.50 mm.

  • Dutch Plain Weave: combines thicker warp wires with finer weft wires. It is designed for filtration ratings from approximately 10 microns to 200 microns, with mesh equivalents between 50 and 400 mesh.

  • Dutch Twill Weave: uses a twill pattern with different wire diameters in warp and weft directions. It is suitable for ultra-fine filtration below 10 microns, typically 1 to 10 microns.
