First we need to know the four factors that affect the ultimate vacuum of a liquid ring vacuum pump:


1. The medium of the liquid ring pump working fluid affects the ultimate vacuum of the liquid ring vacuum pump

The working fluid of the liquid ring vacuum pump can be tap water, industrial water, production water, circulating water, desalinated water, oil and so on. Different working fluids have different ultimate vacuum degrees. With water as the working fluid, the ultimate pressure can only reach 2000-4000Pa, and oil as the working fluid can reach 130Pa.


2. The temperature of the working fluid of the liquid ring pump affects the ultimate vacuum of the liquid ring vacuum pump

Under certain circumstances, the lower the temperature of the working fluid, the greater the vacuum that can be formed. Generally, the maximum temperature of the working fluid must not exceed 65°C. When removing high temperature gas or steam above 80 ℃, a condenser must be installed in the suction line of the liquid ring vacuum pump. Excessive temperature of the working fluid will reduce the pumping capacity of the liquid ring pump.


3. Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump's working fluid affects the ultimate vacuum of the liquid ring vacuum pump

If the working fluid flow rate is too low, the vacuum capacity of the vacuum pump will be reduced, but if the working fluid flow rate is too large, it will also cause the power consumption of the liquid ring pump to be excessive, and even the overcurrent will trip. When the working fluid temperature is the same, the larger the suction volume of the liquid ring pump, the more water it needs to consume. Therefore, the water supply flow of the working fluid should be strictly controlled within the specified range.

In actual industrial production, in addition to the vacuum produced by the liquid ring vacuum pump, vacuum auxiliary systems, such as spray towers and condensers, are often designed on the suction line of the liquid ring pump. These vacuum auxiliary systems can be recovered and released. The gas can cool the air inlet of the liquid ring pump. Within a certain range, the lower the temperature of the spray system, the greater the degree of vacuum that the liquid ring pump can form.

The liquid ring vacuum pump needs to pay attention to the above points in order to achieve a good vacuum use effect.

1. Don't use it in too cold environment;

2. It can be properly warmed up before use;

3. Add bearing lubrication oil to the bearing body. Observe that the oil level should be at the center line of the oil standard, and the lubricant should be replaced or replenished in time;

4. Close the gate valve, outlet pressure gauge and inlet vacuum gauge of the outlet pipe;

5. Jog the motor and see if the motor turns correctly;

6. If abnormal sound is found in the vacuum pump, stop the machine immediately to check the cause;

7. Try to control the flow and head of the vacuum pump within the range indicated on the label to ensure that the vacuum pump is running at the high efficiency point, so as to obtain a large energy saving effect;

8. Regularly adjust the packing gland to ensure that the drip in the stuffing room is normal.

9. The vacuum pump will be stopped for a long time. It is necessary to disassemble the pump completely, wipe off the moisture, coat the rotating parts and joints with grease, and keep it properly;

10. Regularly check the wear of the shaft sleeve, and it should be replaced in time after heavy wear;

11. When the vacuum pump is used in the cold winter season, after stopping, it is necessary to unscrew the drain plug on the lower part of the pump body to clear the medium to prevent frost cracking;

12. When the vacuum pump is to be stopped, first close the gate valve and pressure gauge, and then stop the motor;

13. Within one month before the vacuum pump is operated, the lubricant is changed after 100 hours, and every 500 hours thereafter, the oil is changed once.

14. Start the motor. When the vacuum pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump, and gradually open the gate valve after checking that the proper pressure is displayed, while checking the load of the motor.
