There are many kinds of rubber sheets, and according to different classification methods, there are different categories. At present, the source and use of classification methods are mainly used.
The classification of rubber sheets is based on the source and purpose, which is mainly divided into two categories: one is natural rubber sheet NR, and the other is synthetic rubber sheet. Natural rubber is obtained from plants, and the processing procedures are mainly tapping, dilution, filtration, coagulation, and drying. Natural rubber sheet is mainly vulcanized by using natural rubber with compounding agent and filler. The most critical performance of natural rubber sheet has the characteristics of good elasticity, strong tensile force, good tear strength, high insulation, strong adhesion, and easy processing. Synthetic rubber is a synthetic polymer with high elasticity. There are many types, each with its own characteristics, and a wide range of uses.

Synthetic rubber sheets are also divided into two categories: one is general rubber sheets, and the other is special rubber sheets. There are many types of general rubber sheets, mainly SBR, SBR, BR, NBR, neoprene CR, butyl rubber IIR, EPDM, etc. SBR products mainly have a comprehensive balance of good wet skid resistance, low rolling resistance, and good wear resistance. According to its performance, as long as it does not require oil resistance and heat resistance, it can be used in occasions without special requirements. The performance of the butadiene rubber is close to that of styrene-butadiene rubber, and the price is cheap. EPDM rubber has excellent ozone aging resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, and excellent electrical insulation properties. The performance of butyl rubber is similar to that of EPDM rubber, but it is slightly inferior to ethylene-propylene rubber and has the best airtightness and damping; the disadvantage is the lack of processing performance. Nitrile rubber is mainly oil-resistant, heat-resistant and antistatic. Neoprene has better heat resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance, flame retardancy, and good adhesion.
The special rubber sheet has excellent performance and has special properties not available in general rubber sheets, but it is expensive. The most commonly used are silica gel sheets and a fluorine rubber sheet. The main characteristics of the silicone board are high-temperature resistance, low-temperature resistance, ozone resistance, corona resistance, and breathability. Fluorine rubber sheet has the characteristics of high-temperature resistance, oil resistance, corrosion resistance, vacuum resistance, and flame retardant effect.
Rubber sheets are divided according to functional purposes: mainly divided into oil-resistant rubber sheets, acid- and alkali-resistant rubber Sheets, heat-resistant rubber sheets, insulating rubber sheets, anti-static mats, resistance rubber sheets, non-slip rubber sheets, etc.
