In recent years, China's printing industry is striving to transform to a sustainable development industry, and green printing has thus become the main direction of the development of China's printing industry. With the advancement of the printing industry, the continuous improvement and improvement of printing technology and printing equipment, offset printing has received its unique advantages, such as rapid and convenient plate making, low cost, high printing quality, wide range of paper use, and large print volume scalability. Favored by domestic and foreign printing manufacturers, it has obtained rapid and extensive development, and has occupied a dominant position in the international printing industry, and offset printing ink has also developed rapidly. The technical indicators of ink have important guiding significance for printing. Generally, there are five main technical indicators that are closely related to offset printing. Offset printing ink supplier will share with you:

Non-Toxic Printing Ink

Non-Toxic Printing Ink

First, the concentration of ink

Ink concentration is an indicator of pigment content. Pigments generally account for about 20% of the total ink. Ink density is high during printing. With the same amount of ink, the color of the printed matter is strong, otherwise, the printed matter is light. Large ink concentration, less ink used in printing, the ink layer is thin and relatively dry. Especially when printing a large area of the field, the effect of ink concentration on print quality is particularly significant. Because non-toxic printing ink is used for printing, the printing ink layer is thin, and the fixing speed is fast, which can reduce printing stickiness, and the color balance of each color is also easy to adjust.

The ink industry judges the concentration of ink by detecting tinting strength. The tinting power depends on the ability of the pigment in the ink to absorb and reflect light. It shows the strength of the ink's ability to display color. White ink is usually used to measure the dilution of the ink, so it is also called dilution strength or dilution density.

Second, the viscosity of the ink

Ink viscosity is an important indicator in printing. It is tested with an ink viscosity meter. The value of the ink viscosity value refers to the force that separates the ink film between the two rollers of the viscometer. Too much or too little ink will affect the quality of printing. When the viscosity of the ink is too large, it is easy to cause failures such as poor ink transfer, poor transferability, pulling paper hair, and poor overprinting. If the viscosity is too small, it may easily cause failures such as excessive ink transfer, expanded dots, ink emulsification, and dirtying.

At a certain temperature, the viscosity of the selected ink should not be too large when the printing press is fast, and vice versa. In addition, the relative viscosity of each color ink must be selected according to the printing order. Under normal conditions, there is no need to adjust the viscosity of the ink. If you need to adjust, you can choose an auxiliary according to its viscosity and consistency. Generally, it has a large viscosity. When the consistency is suitable, it can be adjusted by viscosity-reducing and non-thickening additives. If the viscosity is large and the consistency is large, an additive that reduces viscosity and thickness can be used.
