In the modern window design movement, some people obey the rules of modern design. At the same time, some people were reluctant to fully obey this more popular rule.

Prominent representatives of obedience to the rules are the Dutch style, the Russian composition, the design of Aldo and Aspland in Scandinavia, and the streamlined design of the United States. Although these designs and productions show complexity and variability, they always share a common connection. For example, the Dutch art and space, the style of the window design movement, promote strict aesthetics, use primary colors in the creation, and the plane and three-dimensional shapes are strictly in accordance with the geometric style. France and Italy are also outstanding representatives in this movement. The Italian futurists connected themselves to the left-wing fascist ideology and wanted to use industrial culture to build a brand new modern country. The architectural design art of Le Corbusier in France is also an outstanding representative of the embodiment of pure modernism.

The design of other countries does not fully obey this rule. For example, Sweden and the United States have created a popular modern style accepted by the general public. Scandinavia and the United Kingdom do not like to go to extremes. In terms of material selection, they generally prefer to use natural materials rather than geometric shapes. Due to the Great Depression in the late 1920s, a small number of industrial design pioneers appeared in the United States, applying the design of the mechanical era to a batch of products such as trains, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners and automobiles.

Although the concept of decoration is strongly opposed by the modern space and window design movements, decoration still plays an important role during this period.

Popular design often uses geometric form language in architecture to create a highly successful style. (Such as the Chrysler Building in New York) This style was named Art Deco because of an exhibition in Paris in 1925 called the 'Decorative Art Exhibition'. Although critics have different opinions on this, it does not affect the popularity of decorative art in the 1930s. However, even so, the modernists excluded it and gave it another name: Moderne. Moderne refers to a style between Art Deco and Modernism.
