The Advantages of Organic Fertilizers Over Chemical Fertilizers

Organic fertilizer acts slowly. For organic fertilizers to work, the soil must first break them down. This means that both the soil and the plants in it get the nutrients they need when they need them. Synthetic fertilizers, while fast, often overfertilize plants, do nothing for the soil and damage plants by burning them.

Organic fertilizers improve soil. Organic materials and fertilizers improve soil texture, make it hold water longer and increase bacterial and fungal activity in the soil. Therefore, they not only help your plants, but also the soil. Synthetic fertilizers, on the other hand, deplete the soil of nutrients, making it unproductive. Good luck growing those juicy tomatoes in poor soil!

Organic fertilizer is safe. While you don't want to eat or drink them (fish milk tea is less enticing), you can rest assured that organic fertilizers are safe for the environment, your family and your pets. The production and processing of synthetic fertilizers requires large amounts of fossil fuels and often ends up in nearby water sources, such as streams and lakes.

Organic manure is easy to apply. Organic matter is as easy to use as synthetic non-organic matter. Add them to the soil or spray them on leaves - no matter how you use them, they will bring countless benefits to your garden while providing the same convenience and ease of use as fertilizers.
